To insert a new slide in a PowerPoint presentation:
- Select New Slide on the formatting toolbar
or - Choose New Slide from the Insert menu
or - Press ENTER while positioning the cursor in the Outline tab or Slides tab
To define the layout, go to the Slide Layout task pane and make your selection
Why is this information important for translators and translation teachers?
It is well known that translations can be longer than the original, and that sometimes translators need to add explanations or illustrations in order to adapt the original text to the target culture. Therefore, the need may arise to insert additional slides when translating presentations.
