About this course
This course targets professional translators as well as translation and CAT teachers who want to test and broaden their knowledge of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and, more specifically, presentation software. Translators receive presentations to translate, as well as using such software for their own presentations, teaching, etc.
By the end of this course you should have tested your knowledge of basic concepts and tasks related to presentation software and enhanced your knowledge of those tasks that are of particular interest to translators.
Course structure
- Creating presentations - how to insert and deleting slides, change or sort slide order, edit master slides, show hidden slides and apply and format headers and footers.
- Editing Slides - how to add text functions, find and replace, type different characters, track changes and add comments to the slides.
- Language Options - how to use the spell-check function, use the AutoCorrect options, etc.
- Charts - how to change the text and the data in the charts when translating and/or editing charts.
- Saving in earlier versions – how to save a presentation in an earlier PowerPoint format or convert a presentation into a newer version.
