Guidelines for Translation Classes integrating Terminology Management

Teaching Scenarios

eCoLoTrain methodological-didactical guidelines for terminology are intended especially for translation teachers in the following general teaching scenarios:

  1. Courses in Language for Special Purposes (LSP) translation
  2. Courses in general language translation
  3. Courses in terminology management
  4. Courses in terminology management for interpreters

Structure

The guidelines will comprise all or some of the following sections according to the teaching scenario – integration of tools in LSP translation classes, integration of tools in general translation classes, teaching of tools and terminology for interpreters:

  • General prerequisites
  • Learning objectives
  • Course preparation issues
  • Technical prerequisites
  • Working methodology
