Do you know how to format headers and footers in PowerPoint presentations? (11/22)

Yes

Find out

To modify the headers and footers – e.g. change font style, size, position or format the placeholders:

  1. Open the slide master.
  2. In the slide master, click on the header or footer you want to modify.
  3. Select the text and format it.
  4. You can select a new font, font size, style, etc. from the list boxes or formatting icons in the toolbar.
  5. You can also select the boxes of the headers and footers by clicking on them once and dragging them to a new position.
  6. Once you have finished making your changes, click on Close Master View in the Slide Master View toolbar.

Why is this information important for translators and translation teachers?
Since the header and footer areas in PowerPoint presentations include text that often needs to be translated or modified (e.g. dates), translators must be able to deal with them and access the text for editing.
