Sometimes you may want to print with or without cell gridlines, depending on the contents of your Excel worksheets.

  1. Select the worksheet you want to print.
  2. From the File menu choose Page Setup.
  3. Under the Sheet tab, select or clear the Gridlines check box.
  4. Click Print.

 

Why is this information important for translators and translation teachers?
Translators should be able to print spreadsheets with or without gridlines because depending on the contents one or the other option can be more user-friendly - e.g. if the Excel spreadsheet contains a glossary, users may want to get a printout with gridlines as content separators.
