When you have large Excel workbooks with several worksheets, it is especially useful to know how to print row and columns headings or labels on every page, since this makes it easier to have an overview of the data. Row headings are the numbers located to the left of the worksheet, whereas column headings are the letters or numbers at the top of the columns.
To print these headings, select the worksheet that you want to print. Go to File menu| Page Setup and click on the Sheet tab.
- Check the Row and column headings box to print row and column headings.
- To print column labels on every page, enter the rows with the column labels under Print titles in the Rows to repeat at top box.
Alternatively, to print row labels on every page enter in the Columns to repeat at left box the columns containing the row labels. - Click Print.
