Find out

Hardware

The hardware represents the physical electronic and mechanical elements of a computer system, that is, all devices from the processor, memory and data processing medium to the printer or modem.

Software

The term software represents all computer programs, applications and operating systems. It refers to the set of instructions that trigger the hardware to execute a task. There are two types of software: system software and application software. The former serves to control the internal processes of a computer while the latter allows the user to execute certain tasks, e.g. word processing, spread sheet or data base applications.
