If in doubt whether to show slides in a presentation, you can choose to hide them. Nevertheless, these slides will not be deleted and they can be made visible at any point in the presentation.
To hide slides:
- In normal view, on the Slides tab, select the slide(s) you want to hide.
- From the Slide Show menu choose Hide Slide.
Next to each hidden slide an icon 
with the slide number inside appears, to signal that the slide will not be shown during the presentation.
If, during the presentation, you decide to show the hidden slide(s):
- Select the hidden slides you want to make visible.
- Go to the Slide Show menu and uncheck the Hide Slide option.
Why is this information important for translators and translation teachers?
Sometimes clients want you to translate only those slides which are not hidden, or customers may ask you to translate all slides but want you to make suggestions as to which slides might better be hidden when presenting the slide show to a target culture audience.
