Find out
Page breaks are separators that allow you to break Excel worksheets into several pages for printing. By default, Excel defines page breaks according to the paper size and margin settings.
To print an exact number of pages, you have to manually insert the page breaks.
Use the Page Break Preview that allows you to distinguish the page breaks created automatically by Excel (displayed as dashed lines) from those created manually (displayed as solid lines).
Choose Page Break Preview from the View menu.
- Change the page break location by dragging it with the mouse pointer – notice that this will change an automatically created page break into a manual one.
- Alternatively, select a row or column below or to the right of the area where you want to have a vertical or horizontal page break, right-click and select Insert Page Break from the menu that opens.
If you want to remove a single page break, drag it outside of the page break preview. To remove all manually inserted page breaks, right-click on any cell in the worksheet and select Reset All Page Breaks.
