Display
If, on the other hand, you want to display a hidden row or column:
- Select the rows above and below the rows you want to display. In the case of columns, select the columns on the left and on the right of the columns you want to display.
- from the Format menu choose Row or Column.
- Click Unhide.
If the first row or column of your worksheet is hidden:
- Go to the Edit menu.
- Click Go To.
- Type A1 in the Reference box.
- Click OK.
- From the Format menu choose Row or Column.
- Click Unhide.
Why is this information important for translators and translation teachers?
In order to temporarily reduce the size of a worksheet and make it more manageable during translation, translators can hide rows or columns during translation to focus on the current cells with their respective headings. Of course, after translating, they must be able to re-display the hidden rows and columns.
