Joining and splitting segments (6/8)

All alignment tools offer the user options for correcting or modifying the alignment results by changing the segment delimitations made by the software.

For example, if in translation one source segment has been translated by two target segments, it is necessary to join the two target segments manually in order to get the correct translation unit.

If, on the other hand, two segments have to be separated at some point, maybe due to a wrong segmentation or because two parts of one segment in the source language have to be assigned to two separate segments in the target language, alignment tools also offer a way to manually split segments.
